Dr Martens brand identity is iconic and resilient, with a brand essence founded in rebellion.

Through time, resilience has had to change its attitude to survive. Now it is more optimistic, self aware and irreverent. So, how might we combine seemingly opposing traits in a visual system while not forgetting the current Dr. Martens brand world?

We take the expression of rebellion itself and inject a beat of positivity.

We also expand their colour palette

And introduce a type style that finds the balance of the optimistic rebel.
